These 5 New Jersey Wineries Are My Favorites, Which One is Your Favorite?

Sometimes the best way to spend a New Jersey afternoon is with a glass of wine in your hand, beautiful scenery all around you, and nowhere you need to be for a little while.

There is something about visiting a winery in New Jersey that feels like a little escape without having to travel very far.

You can grab your friends, your significant other, or even make it a relaxing afternoon with family, head out for a drive, and spend a few hours enjoying good wine, beautiful surroundings, music, food and that laid-back feeling that makes you forget about everything else for a while.

I have a few New Jersey wineries that are personal favorites of mine, and these five are definitely worth putting on your summer — or fall — list.

There is still plenty of time to enjoy those summer wines, but I'll tell you something: fall is my favorite time to visit a winery.

The cooler temperatures, changing leaves and gorgeous scenery make the experience even better. And of course, there is the wine. The flavors seem to fit the season perfectly.

Whether you're looking for a fun afternoon with friends, a date idea, live music, something delicious to eat or simply a beautiful place to relax with a glass of wine.

Why I Love New Jersey Wineries

What I really love about these wineries is that they each have their own personality.

Some have music. Some have great food. Some have gorgeous scenery. Some are perfect for a relaxing afternoon with friends, while others can make a great date destination.

But they all have something in common: they give you a chance to slow down and enjoy New Jersey.

We sometimes forget just how much there is to explore right here in our own state.

You don't have to get on a plane or plan an elaborate vacation to have a memorable day. Sometimes it's a beautiful drive through the Garden State, a vineyard waiting at the end of the road and a glass of wine.

Summer Wine or Fall Vineyard? I'll Take Both!

There is still plenty of summer left to enjoy a winery visit, and I'm all for it.

Summer means outdoor seating, sunshine, warm afternoons and those refreshing wines that just seem made for the season.

The flavors seem to change with the season, too. There's something about sipping wine while surrounded by autumn colors that makes the whole experience feel extra special.
